About the position
DUTOIT AGRI requires the services of a dynamic person to join the financial management team in this new position in the production (primary agriculture) department in Ceres.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT(CERES)
The incumbent will report to the Production Director and be responsible for accounting and administrative functions.
Key functions include:
- Accurate and timeous financial reporting
- Financial analysis of operations
- Preparation and submission of annual budgets
- Managing and supporting the administrative team
- Implementation and testing of internal financial control measures at estates
- Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements for separate legal entities
- General accounting and administrative functions
- Assistance with the implementation of a new accounting system
The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- BCom with Accounting as major, BAcc or other relevant B degree
- sound, relevant financial and management experience in the agricultural environment
- strong analytical and administrative skills
- good interpersonal skills
- above average computer skills and
- sound knowledge of electronic accounting systems
The suitable incumbent will be characterised by honesty, drive, strong discipline and the ability to function on own initiative.
